Setting up a Gmail Account
To use Gmail as your email portal, you first need an account. This is a free and easy process that takes just a few minutes. You only need to do this setup once.
First, go to Google's mail site at http://mail.google.com . Click the "Sign Up for Gmail" link.
Fill out the form page that follows. You can choose any name you like for this gmail account - but you should make it something easy to remember since this will be your login for gmail. Note: The secondary email address asked for is optional.
For security, edit your passwrod until it reads "strong" next to the password field.
Now you can login to Gmail. Read more about using the Gmail client on the menu titled "Using Gmail".
